Acceptable Use Policy

What is not allowed on Bookort, for bookers and venues alike.

Last updated 8 September 2026

Our registered company name, company registration number, registered address are still being confirmed and will appear here once registered. Everything else on this page applies as written.

This policy applies to everybody using Bookort. Breaking it may cost you access, and serious cases are reported.

Everybody

Do not:

  • book courts you do not intend to use, or book to stop somebody else booking
  • use somebody else's account, or let somebody else use yours
  • give false contact details, or impersonate another person or venue
  • try to break, overload or get around the security of the service
  • scrape the site, or extract data from it by automated means, without written permission
  • resell a booking outside the platform's own transfer feature

Venues

Do not:

  • list courts you cannot provide, or times you are not open
  • advertise a price and charge another
  • take a booking through Bookort and then ask the customer to pay outside it
  • state a cancellation policy you do not intend to honour
  • use a customer's contact details for anything but the booking they made, unless they agreed
  • discriminate against customers on any ground protected by law

Reviews

Reviews are written by people who actually played. Do not write a review of a venue you have not booked, offer anything in exchange for one, or write one about a competitor.

Reporting

If you see something here that breaks this policy, write to hello@bookort.com.

What happens

Depending on what happened, Bookort may remove content, suspend an account, cancel bookings, hold a payout while it looks into something, or end an agreement. Where money is involved, what is already owed is still owed.
